Dr. Ali Hojjati
Dr. Ali Hojjati is currently Lead Advisor, Health Care Improvement for AC. He holds both a Doctor of Medicine and a master’s degree in Public Health. Prior to joining AC in 2013, he spent 20 years working in healthcare organizations focusing his work on quality improvement and evaluation. He held roles such as Deputy Head - Center of Management Development and Systems and Head of Development and Quality Improvement, which included such achievements as overseeing health quality improvement programs for major acute care hospitals, management of a world bank funded project focussed on capacity building in Iran and supervising and managing the implementation of a new Information Management System for the Ministry of Health of Iran.
For the past 10 years, Dr. Hojjati has worked with health care organizations globally, specifically the Caribbean, the Middle East-North Africa region, and Asia. In addition to performing quality assessments, he has coached and trained healthcare providers on areas of patient safety, infection prevention and control, facilities licensing and management, and quality improvement. He also designs and delivers assessment and audit training programs, including training new assessors for HSO/AC and national assessment bodies in other countries. He also has contributed and led design and development projects for assessment methods, assessment programs and standards development. Recently, he served as Team Lead for the Design and Implementation of a National Continuous Quality Improvement Framework in Saint Lucia.
