Dr. Karen Medina

Dr. Medina is an International Healthcare Improvement Advisor and Assessor for the enterprise, where she is involved in developing and delivering People-Centered Care training and in-person coaching sessions to help organizations integrate the concept in the design, planning, and delivery of care in health care facilities and jurisdictional levels worldwide. Dr. Medina has also provided assessments, delivered recommendations and training based on best practices and enablers for developing a successful People-Centered Care philosophy worldwide. 

 She has been a key promoter of innovation in activities that implied Quality Improvement in a variety of healthcare settings and has participated in various public health projects that have had an important positive impact on health promotion, disease prevention, health maintenance, and patient education. Her research interests include Health Technology Assessment where she has written many articles about medical technological devices, and global, intercultural, and mental health; including citizen participation at different levels. Dr. Medina is a Medical Doctor and has a master’s in health management.
